A bivalve mollusc really valued for the texture of its meat, quality and flavour.
They are low in fat and calories, yet rich in good quality proteins, providing the majority of essential amino acids.
Rich in B vitamins, especially B3 and B9 or folic acid, they also provide minerals such as iron, potassium, selenium and calcium.
